Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Madison Meyer is a  Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who is providing services under the supervision of Dr. Robin Fraser, LCSW. Madison earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, and is currently working on the completion of his Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy from Touro University Worldwide. Madison is earning his hours working for a community mental health clinic, Padres Unidos, where he focuses his experience on supporting individuals experiencing a variety of symptoms and provided the understanding of the origin of behaviors, as well as coping skills to encourage clients to continue their journey in mental health. He also has experience-supporting couples trying to restore trust and common ground.  He believes that holding space for clients and providing a positive and healing environment should be a priority when offering support to individuals, children, or couples. Madison allows for clients to express their experiences and emotions, while utilizing Psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Attachment theory, as well the use of nature and outdoor activities focused on reintegrating clients into health patterns of behavior that produce healthy alternatives to otherwise unhealthy prior behavior patterns
